TELUS International team members plant a forest of 12,000 trees near Sofia

As part of the annual international volunteering initiative "TELUS Days of Giving", more than 800 team members of TELUS International Europe from Sofia and Plovdiv, together with their families, planted 16 decares of land in Dolna Dikanya. The initiative was held for the ninth time in Bulgaria.

The area, where all coniferous vegetation was destroyed by insects and tree bugs, was completely cleaned and reforested by TELUS International volunteers and representatives of the state forestry department. More than 12,000 winter oak trees were planted on-site, which, according to experts, are best suited to grow and flourish in the local terrain.
The forest was named "TELUS International Forest", and the company has made a long-term commitment to the cultivation and conservation of its trees. As a next step, in October, the trees will be prepared for the upcoming winter.

The event was held in partnership with, whose founder Nikola Rahnev organizes a series of large volunteer reforestations across Bulgaria. Thanks to these initiatives, over 220,000 new trees have been planted in the country.
