The first conference dedicated to communications measurement was a success

The Value of Communications in the Digital Age – the first conference dedicated to communications measurement and evaluation, organized by the Knowledge-Intensive Development Association (KIDA) and with A Data Pro as its main partner, gathered more than 160 guests in the Main Hall of Veliko Tarnovo University “Saints Cyril and Methodius” and laid the foundation for a much needed discussion in the region.

The event was held on 23rd November in Veliko Tarnovo with a program in two parts, featuring presentations, a special workshop, and three discussion panels in the afternoon, placing the focus on topics such as the media in the Digital Age, communications’ past and present and evaluation models.

In the hours before noon, guests had the chance to hear internationally acclaimed PR, communications measurement and marketing experts, including AMEC’s Johna Burke, Thomas Stoeckle, Ana Adi and the Chief Technology Officer of A Data Pro, Vladimir Petkov, who, in his presentation, gave a forecast on the media’s near future.

In the afternoon hours the event was divided into three thematic panels, with regional experts discussing the relationship between media and PR experts, the relationship between communications agencies and their clients, and the continuing divide between PR and marketing professionals. Leading experts from Bulgarian companies and media took part in the panels, including Dnevnik’s Velislava Popova, SeeNews’ Nevena Krasteva, Prestige-96 AD’s Boryana Kiteva, Dr. Alxander Christov from PR agency Paragraph 42, and Iva Grigorova from MSL Publicis Groupe Bulgaria.

The event’s partners featured media analysis and marketing research agency Perceptica, which provided a month’s premium access to attendees to its media analysis platform, and SeeNews – Southeast Europe’s premium business news and intelligence provider. The conference set the tone for a continuous and in-depth discussion in the long term, both dedicated to media and the future of communications and their measurement.
