AIG Sofia Centre of Excellence Employees (CoE) created Christmas this year for disadvantaged children in Lom!
For a third year in a row the AIG Sofia employees organised their extraordinary charity experience with a focus on disadvantaged children and adults in remote areas of Bulgaria. This year in addition to securing presents for over 300 people, on 14 December volunteers from AIG decorated a train and arrived at the Lom train station together with Santa, to give away the Christmas presents that all AIG Sofia Employees purchased and personally wrapped. 33 children (14 of which with special needs) from three family-type placement centres for children and youth in Lom received their Christmas presents.
The volunteers visited the centres and then met with the mayor, Penka Penkova, where they shared the national AIG CSR activities and best practices and received volunteer certificates of appreciation for their contribution to the Lom municipality. In the afternoon a Christmas party for over 400 children took place in the town hall, organised by the National Orphans’ Association in Bulgaria and supported by AIG. The night ended by switching on the Christmas tree lights and fireworks. Another mission accomplished by the AIG Sofia CoE Employees!!!
