IT Project of the Year 2017 Winner! – The National Statistical Institute’s modern macroeconomic system by ScaleFocus
At the 14th annual edition of the competition organized by Computerworld Bulgaria magazine, our client the National Statistical Institute won the 1st prize in the Central Administration category. The award was accepted my Bogdan Bogdanov, Ph.D., Deputy President of the Institute.
NSI entered the competition with the recently delivered “Macroeconomic statistics – Financial statistics and non-financial national accounts” information system, developed and implemented by ScaleFocus’ Advanced Analytics and Business Intelligence Team.
We are honoured that our solution leads to a first prize in one of the most prestigious awards in Bulgaria regarding the delivered IT solutions and proud that we contributed to this tremendous success of the Institute’s operations.

The main objective of the ICT project is to achieve high quality, reliability and repeatability of the results of data processing and to meet the regulation and compatibility with EU requirements.
With its modern software architecture, the information system provides reliable work with multiple (more than 300) external and internal sources and an efficient processing base for large volumes of data (billions of records), such as detailed information on millions of statistical units and effective carrying out labour-intensive operations such as aggregation, classification, validation, etc.
The main goal of the awards is to distinguish the most valuable IT projects of the year and to emphasize on the changing IT landscape in Bulgaria, facilitated by implementations of enterprise IT solutions.
